    Delivery & Returns Policy

    Delivery

    We aim to provide a reliable and efficient delivery service for all orders.

    • Delivery Charges: Standard delivery is free for all Trade Account and Premier Card customers on orders of £250 or more, including VAT. For orders under £250 including VAT, standard delivery charges start from £25, depending on the delivery postcode.
    • Delivery Areas: We offer delivery across our local regions and, where applicable, nationwide. Availability may vary depending on the product type and order size.

    Buttles Express: Same-Day Delivery

    Need materials quickly? Buttles Express can deliver most products directly to your site within 2–3 hours, depending on location and availability.

    Orders placed Monday to Friday before 1pm may be eligible for same-day delivery. Delivery charges are quoted at the time of enquiry.

    To place an order, call your local branch:

    • Delivery Vehicles: We have a number of different vehicles in our fleet and will select the most suitable one for your delivery. If you have any delivery restrictions, please let us know in advance. Most deliveries are made using our crane lorries, and we will always do our best to place the delivery where you need it.
    • Supplier Direct Deliveries: Some products are delivered directly by our suppliers, and many of these items can be delivered nationally. When a product is being delivered directly by a supplier, we will contact you with details of the delivery arrangements.
    • Delivery Times: Estimated delivery times will be provided at the point of order. While we make every effort to meet these times, delays may occur due to factors beyond our control.
    • Order Confirmation: Once your order has been placed, a member of our team will contact you to confirm your order and provide an estimated delivery date and time where possible.
    • Click & Collect: Customers may choose to collect their order from one of our branches where this service is available.
    • Access & Unloading: Customers are responsible for ensuring there is safe and suitable access for delivery vehicles, along with adequate arrangements for unloading goods.
    • Inspection on Delivery: All goods should be checked upon receipt. Any damage, shortages or discrepancies must be noted at the time of delivery and reported to us in writing within three days.
    • Risk of Goods: Responsibility for goods passes to the customer upon delivery or collection.

    Returns & Refunds

    As a general rule, goods that have been correctly supplied cannot be returned.

    However, we understand that issues can arise and will always aim to resolve them fairly:

    • Damaged or Faulty Goods
      If goods are received damaged or faulty, please contact us as soon as possible. We will assess the issue and arrange a suitable resolution, which may include a replacement, repair or refund where appropriate.
    • Incorrect Goods Supplied
      If we have supplied incorrect items, we will arrange collection and provide replacements or refunds as necessary.
    • Returns of Correctly Supplied Goods
      Returns of correctly supplied goods may be accepted at our discretion. Where a return is agreed:
      • Goods must be unused and in their original condition
      • A handling or restocking charge may apply
      • A credit note may be issued instead of a refund
      • Credit notes may be subject to an expiry period
    • Non-Returnable Items
      Certain products may be non-returnable, including bespoke, special-order or perishable items.

    Manufacturer Guarantees

    Where applicable, products are covered by manufacturer warranties. Any valid claims will be handled in accordance with the manufacturer’s terms and conditions.
