About Our Careers

Here at Buttle’s we are very proud of our team ethos which has been built on firm foundations in our origins as an independent family business. Joining Team Buttle you are not just working in one standalone branch; you are belonging to a network of like-minded individuals in our fun and friendly teams.

We are very proud to hold the Investors in People (IIP) accreditation, the people management standard, being the hallmark of a great place to work, recognising that our teams are fully trained and highly engaged to provide outstanding service to our customers.

As part of the IIP accreditation process all our employees were invited to participate in an employee engagement survey - 76% of respondents stated they would recommend Buttle’s as a place to work.

We invest in our team members’ personal and professional development, by enabling a range of training opportunities, from being able to access on-line learning from technical product modules to personal skills development, on the job training, formal training and learning sessions, secondments to internal projects, the opportunities to learn and develop are unlimited within Buttle’s.

From day 1, all team members start on their learning journey at Buttle’s with a detailed induction plan to include health& safety training and any core skills or processes required to be successful in their new role; which may also include shadowing colleagues or branch orientation visits; in short we won’t just hand you the keys and leave you to get on with it…

A bespoke management development programme has also been uniquely created; entitled ‘Rockstars’, to develop team members who are demonstrating high potential to progress within the business to give them further development to enable their career succession. Rockstars combines tutor led workshop sessions and self-guided learning to embed management tools and techniques, with each rockstar having a business mentor to support their development.

If you have the ambition and determination to succeed, a career with us can take you from yard or Trade Counter sales up to senior management, supported by our development programmes that are second to none.

We welcome all applicants, and we can provide you with the training and career path to suit you.
